Reappraisal Meeting

         TOWN-WIDE REAPPRAISAL

The Town of Waltham has contracted with Real Capital Consulting, Inc. (RCC) to complete a Town Wide Reappraisal for the 2025 Grand List. The purpose of the Town Wide Reappraisal is to update all property data and calculate new Fair Market Values reflected as of 4/1/2025. The results of this appraisal will impact the 2025 tax year. The staff from RCC will be starting the field work mid-June updating individual properties road by road. Landowners will be mailed a notice prior the inspectors’ visit to allow for scheduling an inspection.

PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING will be held on Tuesday, May 21st 2024 at 6:00 pm at the Town Hall.

The reappraisal will be complete in June of 2025 with approximate timeline as follows:

●        June 2024 - September 2024: All parcels inspected

●        December 2024 - January 2025: Determine updated values, review for accuracy.

●        February – March 2025: Review with listers, finalize updated values

●        April 2025 - Follow up inspections/building permits

●        April 2025 - Effective date of updated values

●        May 2025 - Lodge abstract grand list, mail notices

●        June 2025 - Grievance hearings

Once exact dates are determined, the Town’s website will be updated accordingly.
